Last blogged @ 3:48 PM " Smells sooooo goood " Yum yum. I wish you readers could smell the brownie i baked that's just fresh out of the oven! Mmmmm, delicious! Well, i just wanted to accomplish another simple thing before i turn 19 tomorrow. Hmm, YESSAH! A year to 20! Isn't that great... i hope my last year being a teen would be fruitful. Once my brownie's settled, i shall post a picture of it up here, before 12 midnight! Well, what else! Oh yes, i will be reviewing my visit to Maybank to open my account, yesterday. Before everything, i wanna exclaim and let the whole world hear that.... i think that Maybank is the best bank to service me by far! Honestly, from deep within my heart and soul. It's so efficient - even the moment i stepped in! Efficient service, and efficient products. God, you know how some other banks actually give you a device for the pin and also allow you to apply for internet banking? Well, guess what... obviously Maybank does it to! But what's the huge difference, that makes me choose Maybank over others? The difference that i didn't know about even before i applied for it? Well, before that lemme clarify why i was gonna open an account from Maybank. 1) Shuttling to and fro Malaysia and Indonesia for shoots are very inconvenient. Even while i was in Hong Kong, it was damn inconvenient that i only had a "home" bank atmcard/ account. It was freaking annoying. Duh, malaysia is in no comparison with singapore when it comes to their size. It's so difficult to locate the bank i used to "worship", simply cuz that was the only bank that would relate to me at 18 years old. Thus, i decided to apply for Maybank. 2) Maybank is right beside my house! And ATMs are everywhere around the world. I love it! So let's go to what made me so pleased with my decision with opening an account with maybank! Honestly it was the best day of being 18, and what more turning 19 in the next two days... i even told my dad, opening this account is the best "business/ monetary based" decision i've made by far! - I opened a savings account - Then i didn't even have to enquire about internet banking and the password-devices. Knowing me as a model, the ladies there immediately got everything ready and told me that they have even applied for internet banking for me! Look at how nice they were! Awesome people. They know that if i don't have internet banking i'll be in so much inconvenience as i'm shuttling to and fro places! - Then they asked so promptly, if i had an account that i can put savings into and reap benefits after a few years. I said yeah, but it never worked out with the other bank. They even CLOSED my account, okay! Goodness! I complained and TILL TODAY THEY HAVENT REPLIED! Sigh, some banks just think that only caz they service the norm and the majority, they can put their services to mainstream and think they rule this place. Oh well. Back to my story. I decided to open their MonthlySAVINGS account where i just have to put 100 bucks inside each month, and i can even take out 600 a year (in case of emergency... or if u need to do emergency retail therapy. right girlies?) hehehe. and what more, you'll be reaping almost 40000 bucks after 25 years of 100 bucks deposits for 25 years. lets see... if u deposit 100bucks for 25 years... u should be withdrawing only 15000 (if you do take 600 out each year) & if u dont, that'd be 30000! But look what Maybank is reaping for me! Over 40000 bucks! Dang! That's awesome ain't it! - HERE'S THE AWESOME THING. That account is linked to Prudential's insurance coverage. I've been dying to try prudential. Was waiting till i turn 19! And yet, Maybank has granted all my wishes days before my birthday! Man... you think it's over! no, not yet. Hmmm you remember the password retriever device i was telling you about? Yeah, the one that almost every other bank uses now. What's the difference! I GOT IT ON THE SPOT! HELL YEAH! ON THE SPOT. No need to wait for a week... which in the end adds up to a month! I got it on the spot! Thank you maybank! I'm no patient person! I got the device on the spot people! Look at their efficiency! AND HELL NO. I DID NOT FORGET TO TELL YOU! Wanna see the passbook? Here you go!  GOLD! Man, doesn't it just make you feel like royalty? And the front looks pretty much royal to me! And the feel is different from other PAPER FRONT PASSBOOKS. Sigh, low standard. And here's the welcome pack. It's so professional and looks perfect at the same time!  GOSH! I CAN'T WAIT TO MAKE MY FIRST BANK TRANSFER TO SEE HOW MY DEVICE WORKS!!! And, they gave me a gorgeous and fierce Maybank mug to go along.. as a souvenir. To the two ladies and other officers at Maybank Bukit Timah, who serviced my needs at your bank yesterday. Thank you so much! You are the impressions that will stay with me, and always reminding me that Maybank is the best i've had so far!
